Today the WEngineer students learned about Civil Engineering! WE focused on bridges, and the kids had a blast learning about different kinds of bridges and putting their knowledge to the test through online simulations. WE learned about arch bridges, tied arch bridges, suspension bridges, cantilever bridges, cable-stayed bridges, beam bridges, and truss bridges. The WE students took it one step further by learning how engineers conduct stress tests on these bridges.
WEngineer students were able to “build” a word cloud bridge out of the new information they learned today - the “Bridge of Knowledge!” This week has been very exciting so far and we can't wait to wrap up tomorrow!
