Dear WEngineer Community,
This week has been a blast! On Monday, students were introduced to circuits and the different types of logic gates. We also moved through the concept of Ohm’s law by expanding our definitions of resistance, current, as well as voltage. On Wednesday, the students combined their knowledge with a spin-off of Shark Tank. In ShWErk Tank, students came up with a product, company, or idea that included aspects of electrical engineering and presented it to the Swerks. Their creative ideas were put to the test by our ShWErks’ rebuttal! The teams that did the best were the Marshmallows with their innovative water bottle and the Soviet Seagulls with their Chef Robot. Both of these ideas were very well presented and blew the ShWErks away.
Clearly, the students have learned a lot and are starting to understand the real world application of electrical engineering, a vital skill in this technology-focused world!
